Finally home for the Christmas break. Anyone who lives away will know the feeling of relief and happiness when you finally can go home for the holidays. After a really long and hectic semester, I could not be happier to be home. I’ve loved being able to spend time with my family and being back in the country.
But looking back on 2016, it’s been a crazy whirlwind. This year I started this blog, achieved over 2,000 views, passed my first year, spent 5 weeks working in PR in London, interviewed with huge organisations, attended most of my classes and not been half as nocturnal as I was last year. The list goes on but this is all my brain can muster up right now (until this post goes live and I remember it all ;))
I’ve realised a lot this year. Mainly that the opportunities are out there but you need to pursue them. For me, my dream of working in PR is what keeps me going! Not only this but I’ve realised a lot about myself and what I want for my future. The person that I want to be and what makes me happy. I want to be successful in my career and I want to work in some form of communications. I have my dream and I can’t imagine I will settle for much less. But in this journey, I think the most important thing to remember is that your happiness is the most important thing and you should never forget to be humble. For me, I am so thankful to have had the opportunities I have had and I am proud of what I have achieved. Hard work always pays off, it may not be apparent at first but it does.
I am so excited for 2017 and the opportunities and memories to be made. I wish everybody who reads this a happy and healthy New Year. May it be the year for us all to be closer to where we want to be.
In a true nostalgic way to end this year of blogging, I have included some of my favourite photos followed by more that remind me of amazing memories I have had this year….I am a photo hoarder so I had plenty more to include but I had to stop myself!
Wish I could include more photos but there we go!
Thank you to everyone who has read this blog in 2016 and here is to 2017!
