Life Update: Interviews and endless typing

Life Update: Interviews and endless typing

I apologise in advance for the lack of creativity in this post. Christmas deadlines are here and semester one is almost over…how?!  It’s been an absolutely crazy semester with lots of ups and downs (..!) but it only seems like yesterday that I started second year. Now I’m almost halfway through..where has the time gone?

I always knew that second year was going to be a big leap…I just didn’t anticipate the leap being so huge. The first few weeks everyone is enjoying being back together until the third-week hits alongside with three assignment briefs. Unfortunately, priorities change. It’s not first year!

But looking back to last year, so much has changed for the better! If you had told me a year ago that I would have a blog with almost 2,000 views and would be interviewing with some huge influential agencies/organisations, I wouldn’t have believed you. Right now, it is crazy and I don’t seem to stop. University work mixed in with the task of finding my placement hasn’t left me with much spare time. In between the endless typing and searching, I have been up to London twice and have had 4/5 interviews…!

I always pictured that I would have my ‘life together’ in second year. I can’t be the only one to imagine all those healthy meals, regular morning runs all mixed in with seeing your friends and getting good grades in all of your work. Feel free to laugh (I have). However, right now, there definitely is no healthy eating or morning runs going on. Just placement searches, interviews and assignment after assignment.

But I don’t see that as a bad thing. Uni may be crazy, I may not have much time but I’m so excited for the next few months. I’ve learnt so much from the placement interviews already and I am so excited to see what comes next. I can’t wait to write a post which says I have my placement sorted. Without it sounding cliche or anything, it will all be worth it in the end!

So for anyone insanely stressed at this time of the year just remember, it will be worth it in the end! Plus, Christmas is around the corner. If that doesn’t get you through then I don’t know what will! I cannot wait to go home to a festive house and be reunited with everyone at home.

Oh and one last thing I’ve decided….

Healthy eating and morning runs can wait for now.
